I love to sew! That doesn’t mean I’m very good at it, or that I have much time for it.
When I heard about a service that prints pattern pieces directly on custom fabric I had to try it.
A few years in to this whole parenting, my husband and I really love the idea of buying, borrowing or accepting kids clothes and toys second-hand. Consignment shops make it easy
The Christmas toy flyers have arrived in the mail and the request for Christmas lists have come in from family so there has been a lot of talk about wish lists around my house.
The struggle is to figure out what toys will actually be played with.
Here’s my list of top toys my kids actually play with for those of you looking for a good gift for ages 0-4:
When my son started dropping feeds at 10 months I turned to the internet to find out why he was self-weaning and whether I needed to supplement with anything.
What I found was an accusation that I secretly wanted him to stop nursing. At least, that’s how I took it.
Last week my daughter turned 4 and we hosted her friends (and ours) with a My Little Pony party at our home.
We had so much fun putting together the games and activities.
Here are all the details
I’m so happy I stuck with the balance bike but we almost gave up.
I was introduced to Fitness with Jules by friends when big G was still in daycare. I would bring baby G along and he would sleep in his car seat while I worked out.
When I found out I could bring both kids to class I knew this was the perfect option for me.
We used cloth diapers eagerly when big G was born, but had given up before she was three-months-old.
When baby #2 came along I decided I wanted to try cloth again. This time I would do it differently.
I’ve learned a lot and we are happily still using cloth almost 10 months in.
One thing that has me on edge is the litterless lunch idea. I don’t see the point in unwrapping a snack and putting it in a container. I feel like that defeats the purpose so I want to come up with snacks I can make from scratch instead (remember, we are only a week in to school).
I figured I could use this space to keep it all together.
Even though I’m on maternity leave I still find the week a lot easier if I can get some meal prep done on Sundays.
The theme for pretty much everything I cook is simplicity. I like easy recipes.
Here are some of my favourites.
